No training events are currently scheduled as partof the Greater Angkor Project. Members of GAP staff are, however, actively involved in research supervision and undergratuate teaching under the auspices of the University of Sydney's Archaeology Department and the School of Geosciences. Interested students may pursue coursework in these areas by enrolling at the University.

In association with the Friends of Khmer Culture Inc, GAP has facilitated the funding of English-language courses for several members of staff, and is actuvely involved in in-the-field training of Cambodian and Australian archaeologists throughout the field season. A pilot project is currently underway to assess the viability of formalising these arrangements into a field school to be held in conjunction with the GAP field season every year.
