Preliminary plan of the monumental building complex at Kazakl'y-yatkan showing the provenance of the face with grapes (6) and the 'crowd' scene (3)

Fragments of figurative scenes provide a unique snapshot of the richness of the visual art found across the monumental building complex.  Two of the images below show the remains of a 'crowd' scene, so called because of the three faces, all looking towards an unknown object to the right.  The dual tone facial skin shown in the detail below manifests the sophisticated style found at Kazakl'i-yatkan.  Another fragment (bottom left) shows a face in three quarter profile, possibly with a vine leaf and grapes in the background.
