The plan shows the monumental building complex located in the north western corner of the upper enclosure at Kazakl'i-yatkan.  As can be seen from the shaded areas, wall paintings have been found extensively across most of the excavated areas of the complex.  The function of the building is unclear, although cultic installations found in the interior of the central building indicate that at least certain sections were associated with ritual practices.  Mural art was just one aspect of the decoration of this building.  Excavations have also revealed gypsum plaster reliefs, often with painted ornamentation, mud plaster relief fragment covered in gold leaf, moulded copper, sometimes with vegetal motifs preserved, and stone column bases, evidently supporting wooden columns. It is possible that the decoration comprised a planned programme of visual art across the building complex.
