Wall paintings: 3D reconstructions of the procession scene

This image shows a reconstruction of the procession scene using AutoCAD and 3D Studio Max (Autodesk).  The shot is taken looking towards the north, with the camera positioned at 1.65m above the floor surface, which is average eye height. There are several interesting points about the scene.  First, the corridor is 2m wide, which means that no more than three people could walk comfortably abreast in the space.  Second, there is no preserved evidence of lighting fixtures or apertures.  Third, in order to take in the entire scene, the viewer would have been forced to look upwards.  In a relatively narrow and dark space, the impact of the scene would certainly have been impressive.
