Scientific Coordinator

The role of the Scientific Coordinator in the EARTH Programme includes:

  • Assist the co-Chairs and the Steering Committee in achieving the Programme aims and objectives: day-to-day administration, and general responsibility of the full documentation of the Programme

  • Produce documents for the Steering Committee meetings following an agenda agreed in advance with ESF

  • Attend Steering Committee meetings and write minutes

  • Organise scientific activities (workshops, conferences, meetings, short visit grants, collaborative research visits, and summer schools) in collaboration with the specific organisers responsible for each event and in liaison with ESF staff

  • Assist with the publication and dissemination of working papers in any form

  • Maintain the content of the public website, in collaboration with the website and database developers, in order to provide a clear and up-to-date source of information about the Programme’s activities and output

  • Maintain the content of the private website, in collaboration with the website developers, in order to facilitate the running of activities and to provide practical information to the members of the Programme

  • Act as the day-to-day contact point for researchers concerning the Programme and for the ESF office. Act as the day-to-day contact point for any public external to the Programme but interested in it

  • Provide assistance to the co-Chairs in the preparation of reports and other documentation
