Carnarvon Mission Reunion DVD Release |

Right To Be Counted Exhibition |
 Charlie Coppin Wangka Maya Language Centre hosted an exhibition of 'scratch photography' in Port Hedland as part of the commmoration events for the 1967 Referendum's 40th anniversary in June 2007.The exhibition of photographs was developed by photographer Tobias Titz of Melbourne. Tobias' unusual medium of expression is to take photographs of people and then to take a photograph of the background with the person absent. |

Media Release 8 June 2007 - WA State Aboriginal Language Centre’s Conference 2007 |
Aboriginal language centre committee members, linguists, language speakers and administration staff from around WA met for a three day conference in the town of Port Hedland from the 21st to the 23rd of May. Participants came from Perth, Geraldton, the Central Kimberley, the East Kimberley and the Katherine regions. Other guest speakers and language specialists attended from Darwin, Melbourne, Perth and Canberra. The conference was hosted by Wangka Maya Pilbara Aboriginal Language Centre.
