And like Topsy, this project has 'growed'. The beginning of this site is not determined and the end is indeterminate. The following paper had a gestation period of about 40 years, it was nurtured by John Clegg and first saw academic light in Denver, 2002. Whites have only been exposed to this expression of indigenous culture for 220 years so this is only the beginning of the project.
